School Pictures – Next Week

School pictures will be taken next Tuesday, September 14th. You don’t need to send any money on that day. A picture proof and an order form will be sent home about one week later and then you can decide what you’d like to order. There will be a $5 charge for retakes if the first proof is not technical/photographer error.




Afternoon Milk Break

Beginning next week, we will no longer serve milk at afternoon break. If families have prepaid for afternoon milks, that money can remain in the children’s accounts to be applied to morning milk or lunch costs. If you have any questions, please speak to Mr. Gibson.




1st Quarter Mission Project

Our mission project for the First Quarter is the WELS Mission to Thailand. In a country that is over ninety percent Buddhist, WELS missionaries are able to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please encourage your children to remember this mission work with their mission offerings and prayers. Mission offerings are collected at chapel each Monday morning. Please use the coin envelopes that are sent home each week for your offerings.




Washington Street Door

Please remember that the school’s back door (facing Washington Street) will remain locked. Students are not to leave through that door. Parents picking up or dropping off students should use the front entrance. Your cooperation is appreciated.




FVL Schools Community Night

FVL Schools is sponsoring a free community parent’s night on Thursday September 30 @ 7PM in the FVL auditorium. The program is "SEX ED -- Taking on Taboos". The presenter is Pastor Ski from The Core church in Appleton. This presentation is designed for parents and students in grades 6 and up to attend TOGETHER. Younger parents are invited to attend but please younger children at home for this sensitive topic. Invite your neighbors and friends with children the age of your children -- how great would it be to have EVERYONE talking about this important topic from a Biblical perspective. Tickets are required to attend; they are FREE and available from the FVL School Office or the office of any FVL Grade School.




Room Parent Sign Up

The PTO sponsors the Room-Parent program. The room parent is a source of communication between the parents and teacher. The room parent coordinates a group gift at Christmas and reminds the class to acknowledge the teacher on his/her birthday and during Teacher Appreciation Week. If you would like to be a room parent or would like more information please speak to a PTO officer or let the office know.




8th Grade EXPLORE Test

Students considering attending FVL should write the EXPLORE Test on Saturday, September 18th or Saturday, October 2nd from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM. This test is useful for course placement at FVL, career planning & study skills development. There is no cost to write the test. Please see the attached letter.

Please bring prayer requests to the office by Tuesday of each week.
