TLS SCRIP PROGRAM
Scrip is a term that means “substitute money”. Trinity Lutheran PTO purchases gift cards and certificates at a discount. You purchase and redeem them at full face value. The difference is our revenue.
50% of the income generated by your purchase is credited to the tuition assistance fund or to a student of your choice for the purpose of lowering tuition costs for that student.
The scrip year runs from June 1st through May 31st. Accumulated credit will be applied to the following school year. The credit can be applied to a current or future Trinity Lutheran student. Families can transfer their credit to another TLS student. If a family doesn’t transfer their credit when their children finish at TLS it will automatically go to the tuition assistance fund. Any money that is left in the tuition assistance fund after assistance has been dispersed goes back to the church’s general fund.
The other 50% of the income generated by your purchases is used to fund PTO programs, to purchase additional scrip and to support other school/church programs.
PURCHASING SCRIP
Scrip orders can be mailed, emailed, faxed or brought to the TLS office at any time during the school year. There is also a drop box at the back of church. These orders will be filled during scrip hours.
During the school year scrip will be sold in the
Science Room Monday-Friday from 8:00-8:30AM and again from 3:00-3:30PM. If scrip isn’t on hand the order will be placed on Monday and will usually arrive by Friday.

Please complete an order form and pay for your order by cash or check made payable to Trinity PTO. The order form gives you options for picking up your scrip order.
